If you want to advertise in Kribi, a listing on KHookup puts your profile in front of the people searching there, and there are 2 live listings in Kribi right now. Creating one takes about as long as taking the photos. This guide covers exactly what a listing needs, what each plan costs, how verification and review work, and how to look after yourself once you are live. It is for adults aged 18 and over, and every figure below is read from the platform's own settings, so it is always current.

What you need before you start

Gather these first and the form takes ten minutes:

  • An account on KHookup, made with your WhatsApp number. It is how visitors reach you, and it is never printed on your page.
  • At least 5 photos, and no more than 12. They must be your own, at least 600 pixels on the shortest side, in JPG, PNG or WebP format, and 8 MB or smaller each.
  • One short video preview, in MP4, WebM or MOV format and 40 MB or smaller.
  • Your city and your quarter. The best-known quarters in Kribi are Mpalla, Talla, Lobé, Grand Batanga, New Town, Londji, Afan-Mabé, Bikondo, and 29 are available in total.
  • A title of between 8 and 120 characters, and a description of between 40 and 2,000, with at least one category.

Choose a plan

A listing is sold for a fixed period. You pick the length when you pay, and the price is the whole cost:

Plan Price
1 week XAF 2,500
2 weeks XAF 4,500
1 month XAF 8,000

Payment is manual. You pick a plan, send its price by mobile money to the number shown on the payment page inside your account, and your listing moves forward once the payment is confirmed. Compare the price per day on the plan page before you choose: if you intend to stay listed, a longer plan is often the better value.

Pay only the number shown on that page. KHookup never asks for payment through a chat message, an "agent" or a "support" profile, and a number sent to you that way is not ours.

Photos that work

Photos are what visitors look at first, and what a moderator checks first. A few rules lift a listing:

  • Use your own photos only. A listing built on someone else's pictures can be removed, and the account closed.
  • Good light beats a good camera. Daylight near a window, a plain background, and a clean lens.
  • Show the same person every time. Variety of pose is good; variety of identity looks like a scam.
  • Keep it clear. Visitors scroll quickly, so lead with your strongest, sharpest picture.

Write a title and description that earn trust

Say who you are, where in Kribi you are and when you are available. Be specific: it is the cheapest way to look genuine, and it is how visitors tell a real advertiser from a copy. Do not put phone numbers, handles or links in the text; they are not allowed, and the listing will be sent back.

Verification and review

Before a listing goes live, a person at KHookup reviews it. You can also earn a verified badge by sending an identity document and a photo of yourself holding it. Verified profiles appear in the verified directory for Kribi, and visitors learn to start there. If a listing is sent back, it tells you the rule it failed; fix it and resubmit.

Listing in Kribi

Kribi is a small coastal town, so a listing reaches a smaller audience than in the big cities, and it moves with the holiday season. Pick a plan that covers the busy months, and name your quarter: Mpalla, Lobé and Grand Batanga are the names visitors know.

In Kribi, many visitors come at weekends and on holidays. Choose dates for your plan that cover those peaks, and refresh your photos with the season.

How visitors find your listing

People reach a listing through the filters on KHookup: by city, by quarter, by category, and by badge, including verified, premium, online now and new this week. That is why the details matter. A listing with the right quarter and category appears in the searches that suit it, and a verified badge puts it on the page visitors are taught to open first. The listings in Kribi show how others in your quarter present themselves, and it is worth a few minutes to see what makes the good ones stand out.

After you go live

A listing is not set-and-forget. Reply promptly, because visitors move on when they wait. Keep your photos current: a profile that looks like you is a profile people trust. Renew before the plan ends if you want to stay visible, and read any message from a moderator, since it tells you exactly what to change.

Staying safe as an advertiser

Your safety matters as much as your listing:

  1. Screen before you reply. Look at the profile of anyone who contacts you, and trust your instincts.
  2. Never send money to anyone, for any reason. Real visitors do not ask you to.
  3. Do not share your exact address or personal details with someone you have not met and checked.
  4. Meet in public first, tell someone you trust where you will be, and arrange your own transport.
  5. Report anyone who harasses, threatens or pressures you. Reports reach a moderator and are never shown to the person reported.
  6. Know the scams. Our guide to escort and dating scams in Kribi is as useful to an advertiser as to a visitor.

Ready?

Create your account and start your listing. KHookup is for adults only: anyone under 18 is removed and reported, and you are responsible for knowing and following the law in Cameroon. The safety centre explains how verification and reporting work.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a listing in Kribi cost?
There are three plans: XAF 2,500 for one week, XAF 4,500 for two weeks and XAF 8,000 for one month.
What do I need to publish a listing?
An account made with your WhatsApp number, at least 5 photos (up to 12), one short video preview, your city and quarter, at least one category, and a title and description. You must be 18 or older.
Why was my listing sent back?
A moderator reviews every listing before it goes live. The usual reasons are photos that are not yours, contact details in the title or description, photos below the minimum size, or a description too short to be useful. A sent-back listing tells you which rule it failed, so you can fix it and resubmit.
Can I put my phone number in the description?
No. Titles and descriptions cannot contain phone numbers or other contact details. Visitors reach you through the contact button on your listing, so your number is not published in the text and you avoid spam.
How long does a listing stay live, and can I renew it?
It stays live for the length of the plan you bought, then expires. You can renew it from your dashboard.
