Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account details: your name, username, WhatsApp number, date of birth, and an email address if you add one.
• Your listings: the photos, video and text you publish.
• Payments: the amount, the date, the operator, the number you paid from and the transaction ID. We never ask for your PIN.
• Verification documents: if you apply for the verified badge, the documents you send.
• Visits and contacts: how many people viewed your listing and tapped to contact you, with the time and the kind of device. We keep a one-way code of the visitor to avoid counting a refresh twice, never their address.
• Technical data: device and browser details used to keep accounts secure.

2. Why we collect it

• To run the service: showing listings, taking payments, counting contacts.
• To keep people safe: age checks, identity checks, reviewing listings and reports.
• To meet legal obligations, including lawful requests from the authorities.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to target advertising.

3. Who can see what

Your listings and profile are public. Your WhatsApp number is not printed anywhere on them: visitors reach you through a button, and the number is used only to open the chat. Your payments are private. The conversations on WhatsApp happen on WhatsApp, and KHookup cannot read them.

Our staff can open an account to review a report, investigate fraud or answer your own request. Every one of those accesses is logged.

4. Who we share it with

The minimum necessary, with the services that run the platform: our media host, our email provider and our hosting provider. Each may use the data only to provide that service.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, to remember your age confirmation and your language, and to protect forms from forgery. We do not use advertising cookies.

6. How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is open. Contact records are kept for as long as they help you see how your listing is doing. Payment records are kept for as long as the law requires, even after an account closes. Verification documents are deleted once a decision is final.

7. Your rights

• Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your account. We remove or anonymise your personal data and keep only what the law requires.

8. How we protect it

Passwords are hashed and never stored in a readable form. Photos are served from a content network over an encrypted connection. Two-factor authentication is available on every account and required for staff. We log security events and review them.

9. Nobody under 18

KHookup is for adults only. We do not knowingly hold data about anyone under 18, and an account found to belong to a minor is closed and its data deleted.
